Prof. (Dr.) M. V. Pylee has been conferred with 'PADMA BHUSHAN' on 26th
January 2006.

Emeritus Professor Dr. M. V. Pylee is a well known authority on
Constitutional Government and a pioneer in the field of Management Education
in India. Prof. Pylee has a distinguished academic career in India and
abroad. He has taught at the Universities of Lucknow, Patna, Delhi, Kerala
and Cochin and was a Director of the Administrative Staff College of India,
Hyderabad. He was a Fulbright Smith-Mundt Scholar at Harvard University and
later a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
He is the recipient of many honours and awards among which are the coveted
KMA Management Leadership Award, the International Leadership Award for
Outstanding Service to Teaching and Management Profession, International
Award for Distinguished Service to Global Higher Education and Hon. D. Litt,
degree of Banaras Hindu University. Prof. Pylee has written over thirty
books and published over 200 research papers.

 Mr.
Krishan Mohan has been a veteran teacher of General Knowledge for over 50
years. He started his teaching career in 1954 after completing his Master's
degree in English Literature from Delhi University. He was selected in the
Civil Services in the year 1957 and was deputed to the Indian Railway
Traffic Service. He worked in various capacities in the Traffic Department
of various districts of North Eastern Railway and later as a Transport
Specialist in the Planning Commission. After resigning from the post of
Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Industry in the year 1969, he became the
Principal of S. N. Dasgupta College, one of the leading institutes in the
country for preparing candidates for various competitive exams including the
Civil Services, Defence and various competitions conducted by the Staff
Selection Commission. The highly popular book General Knowledge Digest was
written by Late Shri Mani Ram Aggarwal and the first edition came in the
year 1953. Mr. K. Mohan was associated with this book from the very
beginning and a few portions of the book relating to Who is-Who, Terminology
and the latest event were compiled by him. The book continues to be a hot
favourite with the students. It has completed 55 years of very useful
service to the student community. Now in its 70th edition, it is ideal for
written & viva of all Competitions.

R. S. AGGARWAL AND HIS RENOWNED COMPETITIVE BOOKS
Dr. R. S. Aggarwal was born on 2nd January, 1946 in a village of Delhi. He
graduated from Kirorimal College, Delhi. After completing his M.Sc. in
Mathematics in 1969, he joined N.A.S. College, Meerut as a lecturer. In
1976, he was awarded a fellowship for 3 years and joined Delhi University
for his
Ph. D. Thereafter he was promoted as a reader in N.A.S. College, Meerut.
In 1999 he joined M.M.H. College, Ghaziabad as a reader and took voluntary
retirement in 2003. He has written 75 books ranging from Nursery to M. Sc.
and for general competitions from clerical grade to I.A.S levels.
